At NQ Gallery, art is not just about looking. Gallery owner Niqui van Olphen wants you to see, feel and experience a work. That personal encounter lies at the heart of the gallery. The spaces bring painting and drawing together with sculpture, ceramics and other three-dimensional works. Material, form and the relationship between artwork and space all receive plenty of attention. NQ Gallery opened in Antwerp in 2021; Niqui has more than twenty years of experience in the museum world. You can feel that background: work isn't simply hung on the wall here, but artists, works and visitors are deliberately brought into conversation with one another. A gallery you'd do well not to walk through too quickly.
