Eden Berger
About the artist
In her work, Eden Berger focuses on small shifts in the everyday, such as changing light, a beautiful flower on a windowsill, or a striking shadow. In doing so, she reveals the poetry of the unnoticed and invites us to look again at what has always been there, but is rarely truly seen. Eden Berger works with analogue photography and Super 8 film, drawn to the specific quality, grain and atmosphere of these media, and the meditative calm the working process requires.
Eden Berger (1999) lives and works in Amsterdam. She graduated in 2024 from the AKI Academy of Art & Design in Enschede, Fine Art department.
Starting point of the work
When I stepped into Ganterie Boon, I was immediately inspired by the classic beauty and elegance of the shop and the handmade gloves they've been selling for more than 140 years. The elegant movements the gloves made in the window display reminded me of the fragility and beauty of flowers. In the window, I'll create a connection between these two elements.

Ganterie Boon
At Ganterie Boon you step almost literally into another century. Since 1848 hardly anything about the atmosphere has changed: the original glove boxes, counters, chairs and historic interior are all still there. As Antwerp's last true glove shop, this family business breathes craftsmanship. You'll find only gloves here, in a wide range of sizes and materials, carefully selected and fitted with attention.
