Alexandra Pușcaș

About the artist
In her work, Alexandra Pușcaș explores the dialogue between painting and three-dimensional space through monumental, pigment-rich canvases, smaller objects and drawings. By challenging the flatness of the canvas, these works take on a tangible, sculptural quality. Fascinated by colour, scale and materiality, she lets natural processes unfold layer by layer. Forms emerge, dissolve, or are reduced to their essence.
Alexandra Pușcaș (1999) lives and works in Antwerp. She studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.
Starting point of the work
The work extends the experience beyond the threshold. The interplay between the refined details of Flor Artes's front space and the work's robust framework invites close, attentive looking, allowing subtle nuances to unfold over time. Pure colours create a lasting resonance and leave a vivid afterimage as visitors step back outside.

Flor Artes
At Flor Artes, the pleasure begins before a single flower is wrapped. Colours, scents, plants, pots and vases each vie for your attention in turn. The flower shop started small in 1985 and grew into a trusted Antwerp address.
The flowers are fresh daily, and bouquets here aren't simply tied together. They're composed: by colour, by shape, to your wishes, and even to the place where the bouquet will eventually end up.
